Yay I am OUTSTANDING!!!!

Hi just wanted to shout it from the rooftops. Have only been childminding for 7 weeks and was really nervous!

I din't fill in my SEF as not enough time and I picked holes in lots of things I did, could do in the future. She said I was being very hard on myself and that I was 1 of only 3 outstandings she had given in her long inspection career.

I am so chuffed. The hard work and long hours have really paid off. Kids are happy, Ofsted is happy and now I am ecstatic.

Just needed to tell more people!!!!!

Have been lurking on threads, and saw your Outstanding Katymac well done. Not a suprise though as your posts are always very impressive and had me even more worried I didn't know enough!

Am so happy, and tired and weepy now! Need a glass of wine!

If you don't mind me asking (I am a parent not a cm) did any of your mindees' parents give any feedback to the inspector? My cm registered at the start of this year and when she has her inspection I would like to speak to them (because imo she is outstanding and fantastic) but is this something that many parents do or is it a bit odd?

onepieceofcremeegg - I had mine recently and although I didn't get overall outstanding, I got 6 elements of Outstanding and the rest were Goods so I was happy with that. I'd asked parents if they felt they'd like to share anything with the inspector then that would be great if they fancied jotting a note for me to give them as one section is about 'working with parents'. Anyway, ALL my families put some words together and I was overwhelmed with what was said and I'm pretty sure this all helped with my inspection Maybe put something in writing that the inspector can see in case you aren't there when the inspection is taking place. I'm sure your childminder would be very grateful
