Hi
I am currently on the OFSTED training course to become a childminder and wanted to know if any other childminder has a copy of their exit plan in case of a fire they could send to me?
please?
my email address is [email protected]

How can you use someone else's fire exit plan? We all have different houses and exit routes, different amounts of children with varying ages, so totally different plans...

I actually don't see the problem - may just help with how to put it all together?!

exit plan haha

Am sure many of us on here would be interested in an answer to 'that' exit plan - me included!!!

I was told I had to have a floor plan of my cm areas, showing where smoke detectors, fire blankets, stairgates etc were- forgot to put it in file and inspector never asked about it!! I bought a book off ebay to record fire drills in - inspector never looked at it!. Have a look on ebay for posters etc covering Fire Safety etc - I've bought loads of resources - other people do the work and we get to use them!!! . I also bought some resources of Kidpremierships's online store - posters and books - and they can be used with children of all ages.

HSMM - can you please email me too as after reading the thing about floor plan and alarms etc, I'm wondering if mine is good enough now?

you don't need to buy a book to record fire drills in!!! just jot down in a notebook when it was done, who was there, what happened, what the outcome was and do a little evaluation of the exercise.

My CM failed to get an outstanding and got a good in her inspection because her register wasn't up to scratch as far as the inspector was concerned (although I'd be far more worried if I thought she needed her list to know which kids she had on a given day!) So I think you need to make sure your paperwork is absolutely perfect.
