How do I go about finding an experienced nanny for my <1 yr old in the UAE?

My husband and I have settled into our life in Dubai and are now looking for a nanny with excellent references and solid experience for our LO. People advise us to hire a maid to save money but I don't want that for my child due to previous bad experiences.

How do I go about finding a European lady who would move out to the UAE and how should I structure remuneration? I'm a bit lost and would appreciate any helpful advice and links to websites or recommendations who I should speak to.

Are there placement agencies and if so, which ones are good and trustworthy? (Visa is taken care of re my husband's work, so no issue there.)

Thanks.

Burlington Nannies, Simpley Angelic and Occasional and Permanant Nannies all place nannies internationally.

Some incentives to consider - flights home per year(definetly one return flight but perhaps also some short haul flights as well); relocation package eg shipping costs; a three month trial so that the nanny gets the feeling for the new surrounds.

HTH's - good luck!

Thank you NannyNZ and ScottishThistle! I am just mulling over how to write my email and how to phrase a job offer. Let me mull it over in the next 7 days and get something out.

Really appreciate the links and tipps, have never done this before.

No problem, I wish you luck in finding what you're looking for. I've been for two UAE interviews and I'm awaiting calls.

Good luck with your search. Hopefully you'll find a good selection of potential nannies who want to work abroad.
