Morning all, coffee, tea, buns, croissants on the table.

Shoshe - good luck for tomorrow

Hope the rest of you have a good day, I'm not working until 3pm today - but have a house full today so no peace in the mums house.

good morning ladies, we are having messy play at my house today, is a good job I have a large garden

HSMM · 18/03/2009 07:42

Shoshe - can we all come?

Another day's unpaid leave today, but at least I'm feeling a bit better. Watched all sorts of rubbish on the TV yesterday.

Shoshe · 18/03/2009 08:11

We are going to make butterfly cards for Mums, and have cornflour and water, playdough, no sand tho as i haven't filled the sand pit yet (waiting to see if I get job or not)

And all the CM's are coming so should be fun.

Morning all.

No playgroup today as one mindee broke his wrist on Monday (here - eek! ), so will need to think of something else to do all morning - extra mother's day crafts, it is...
hope it's nice snd sunny where you are?
x

Morning everyone.

We are going to play at a friends house this morning, 2 mindees both potty traning so that will be fun. I am hoping that they will copy the slightly older mindee who has been dry since last summer!

Have a great day and make the most of the nice weather.

leonifay · 18/03/2009 09:56

morning all, shoshe your messy play sound like fun, (...wonders if childminders in this area would be willing to do similar meet ups) and good lick for tommorow, have you heard about the childrens centre job yet?

not meaning to ignore everyone else i hope you all have fun days too, and its sunny where you are, its raining here today

i'm not working till 11.30, so had a nice lie in. feel all refreshed and ready to get on with the day now. play and stay this afternoon, then mothers day crafts untill pick up i think.

Evening

We had a lovely day and there was only 1 accident so I was very pleased.
Have been outside for most of the day and now I am so tired but must wait longer before going to bed!

Sohshe - Good luck for tomorrow.

I'm whinging & feeling guilty

I had a disgruntled parent - who paid a deposit & changed her mind 4 months later the week before baby was due to start. I refunded deposit as I am nice & kind a mug

She went to a CM who was nearly £1 an hour cheaper & the 2 of them have bitched about it ever since - I have hidden charges and over charge and am a generally bad CMer

So I get an email from this CMer saying can i help write a newsletter for their group & do I want to join the group

So I reply
"Thank you very much for your invitation. However, I have been aware for more than a year/18 months that my reputation in M is not particularly good. I have had adverts, that I paid to be displayed, removed and I know that a wide range of people have been discussing me and the way I childmind in a negative way. We have never felt very welcome in the village and its activities.

Because of this I feel it would not be right for me to be aligned with your group, I did explain this to K last year when she was wanting support for some activities. Because I feel that the group is raising the profile of childminders in such a positive manner, I would be concerned that the negative way that I am viewed would impact on the good work that your group has done.

So until I feel confident that this negative publicity I am receiving has ended it would not be appropriate for my bad reputation to impinge upon the group?s good one; I really appreciate that you offered me this opportunity."

Isn't that awful of me - I feel so bad now I sent it

mumsanutter · 18/03/2009 22:12

You go KM, why should you help them out if they (ie she) has been stabbing you in the back....
