KatyMac · 12/03/2009 12:36

Shoshe · 12/03/2009 13:36

Good afternoon all, we have been to dancing this morning, so mindees all asleep

No.4, you speak that funny language!!! DDIL does always amazes me when she speaks to DS in Afrikaans then next sentence to me in English

Numberfour · 12/03/2009 15:00

looneytune, you've done so well!
hi,shoshe, yes i speak the language as a second lang, eng being first. i lived in a very afrikaans area in Cape town and went to a dual medium primary school.

does your DS speak it too??

not a very attractive language - very gutteral with lots of rrrrrrrrrrrolling rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's.

one mindee asleep. other left already. ds at his CM!! off to university in just over an hour. hate the bloody trip.

looneytune · 12/03/2009 16:34

Agree Katy, it's not fair. I really can't see what the problem is as she said it's just to cover mistakes etc? Anyway, my smile kinda gives things away

Thanks for the messages everyone, feels such a relief to have it over with now as it was really getting me down!

I'm eating cake as my nanny friend said a cake just jumped into her trolley at Asda and someone deserved it - bless her.

Right, back to it! I'm finishing soon as both toddlers are being picked up early so no need to cook for them plus my after schoolers mum had afternoon off so I get to play with my boys for a bit before heading off for my course (yawn).

KatyMac · 12/03/2009 16:46

Come & help me out here - I can't tell anyone but perhaps someone else can

Shoshe · 12/03/2009 17:13

No.4 It is DDIL's first language and DS has been learning and an just about hold a conversation, they do talk in Afrikaans at home.

coolj · 12/03/2009 17:31
