Emergency childcare options

My aunt is going to be doing most of my childcare which I am really pleased about. However her mother (my gran) sometimes needs her last minute due to health issues. Usually we will be able to sort something out with either myself, DH or her DH taking over the childcare on those days but if my gran was to get ill very suddenly for example are there any options for emergency childcare?

some nurseries will take children on an emergency basis.

do you have friends who could help out in an emergency?

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 10/03/2009 19:19

where are you based?

There are nannies here (including myself) that do emergency work.

Some childminders do too. You could ask at your local council's Children's Information Service or look on the Childcarelink website.

I am in Falkirk. I don't think it would happen often but I want to have something in place just in case. Sadly no friends who can help out.
