I've kindly had an offer from a family member to pay for a childminder for DD, just for a few hours a week. I've found one that sounds really good but i need to know what questions I should ask her?

What they do in a usual day / week.
How many children she looks after and when.
Charges and what this includes (food, outings, nappies etc etc)
Holidays
Where they sleep
Ask to see certificates / ofsted report
I'll have a look to see if I can find a full list for you.

You shold get a really good idea from being there with her and the children.

Here you go this should help.
You can download their ticklists about what to ask.

You will probably get a gut reaction from visiting though and don't be afraid to visit more than one. I'm a childminder and I wouldn't be offended or upset if a parent didn't chose to send their child to me, it is far more important to send a child where you feel they will be happiest.

Thank you. I'm calling her later and hopefully arrange to go and see her. I'm a bit nervous because I've never really left DD with anyone tbh.
