Hello, I havent done this type of messaging before, so please excuse me.
I think it may be on here already!!!!
Is there anybody in East Cambs that is requiring a full-time or part time childminder. I have vacancies for under 5s. & vacancies for 5-8 year olds.
I have only been registered since December 04, and i am starting to worry if parents are put off, by my lack of experience, even though i am a full-time mum to my 3 year old boy.
If anyone is interested please let me know.
Cheers

hi gooner, I registered as a childminder in september, I too have a 3yr old son, I didn't get any enquires till april and i was thinking the same as you that parents might be worried that i was too inexperienced, but in april i advertised in my local paper and i got plenty of phone calls, i now look after two children full time.
Just wanted to give you a boost of confidence, and theres no better experience than being a parent yourself imo.
Good luck

Thanx samjandwich, its great to know that i am not the only one!! How is it going?
I do look after two brothers on an irregular basis, but they came about because the other childminder in the village was unable to care for them, because she has filled her vacancies, but she has been doing childminding for 18 months!
Thank you for your message

hi
i wouldn't worry. i started childminding just over 2 yrs ago. i left work in the dec and only got my first two after schoolers in the feb. the other phone enquiries didn't start until around may/june. i now have 2 full timers and 6 part timers. now i don't have enough spaces for all the phone calls i get! i often find this is the busiest time of year as everyone seems to want to start september. hth.
