A few of us are planning a trip to California Country Park on Wednesday, not sure what charges you have but do you fancy joining us? So far the possibles for coming are:

ME!!
Saz73
Eleanorsmum
HSMM
A local nanny friend or maybe 2

Anyway, let me know what you think. If I don't get on here, maybe email or Facebook me?

LT

Looking forward to meeting everyone. Glad it's so near to me too as i will be walking there. Hope it doesn't rain.

looneytune · 13/02/2009 12:49

Oh Saz, you're mad!!! I'd offer a lift but will have 5 or 6 kids so full car

looneytune · 13/02/2009 12:50

Not sure what kids you have on that day Saz but if it's too far for some of them to walk and you need a triple buggy, I'm happy to lend it you to get there as only need it once I'm actually there.

LT, we've done it before loads of times it's not far at all. And the path is ok for the buggy too. We use the back entrance which just pass the gates of the camp.

HSMM · 13/02/2009 13:24

Do we have to wear special MN name labels?

Rain! I don't do rain! I couldn't possibly let the little dears get wet, if it rains!

looneytune · 13/02/2009 13:27

Well you and Saz DO know each other, just maybe don't know who you both are on here! and I know the others so I reckon we'll be ok and although not met Nick, I know what he looks like if he decides to come

What sort of time is good with everyone? My last mindee arrives at 9.30am and so I reckon the earliest I could meet would be 10am.

I will leave home when my DD rolls out of bed . Wouldn't dare try and wake her during the holidays . I'm guessing I'll be leaving home at approx 10am ish and I'll just come and find whoever is there.

looneytune · 13/02/2009 13:42

you are soooo lucky, mine gets up early and NEVER sleeps in! grrr

eleanorsmum · 13/02/2009 13:52

This will be such fun! we've been trying to do this for ages haven't we looney!

I can be there anytime, i get mindee at 8 and dd usually up at 7 (yawn!) I know the cafe is quite good there, healthy options too. bring bread to feed the ducks! It'll be fun!

nannynick · 13/02/2009 14:24

I need to help setup toddler group at 9.15. But J says he wants to come, so we can get to CCP at around 10am.

nannynick · 14/02/2009 11:28

Wednesday weather is looking good at the moment... sunny, 10 degrees c.

So where EXACTLY are we meeting and at what time? Been a while since I've been to CCP, think there was some kind of meeting place at the far carpark, on the lake side... a seating area perhaps.

coolj · 14/02/2009 11:32

I wanna come. I used to live in Reading. Now in Lake District though. Bit far to travel. Cant you all just come up here for the day . Have fun.

eleanorsmum · 14/02/2009 15:09

Suggest we meet by the park near the paddling pool and cafe, then those that are bit later can see us all and those that are able to get there at 10 can play in park till others arrive?

Really looking forwards to this!

looneytune · 14/02/2009 16:45

Sounds like a plan to me! I will leave as soon as my 9.30am mindee has arrived and meet you all there! Really looking forward to it!

Do you think we need to do any swapping of mobile numbers? I have numbers for all of you apart from Nick

OP posts:
nannynick · 14/02/2009 17:34

Mine is on my website Looney

KatyMac · 14/02/2009 19:27

Well I think you are being so unfair not inviting me.......how far would I have to travel?

looneytune · 14/02/2009 19:37

Nick - good point, will grab it from there!

Katy - you are more than welcome!!

Right, I'm off out for birthday dinner so best log off. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone x

Looney can I come too?? Meant to ask your plans for next week!! Only got the girls though as J had half term last week! Catch up tomorrow x

nannynick · 15/02/2009 01:57

Roughly 177 miles Katy... you could probably drive it in 4 or so hours, probably nearer 5 considering the M25!

fairimum - can't see why not... more the merrier. Though as Looney seems to be organiser, suppose you had better wait for the official goahead

fairimum · 15/02/2009 09:43

Wondering if I should take it personally Nick!! Or maybe Looney doesn't want to get sick of us as seeing her already next week! Will wait for my official response... if she isn't too hung over!!! :P

nannynick · 15/02/2009 14:22

fairimum - just noticed a post of yours on Days Out board... did you manage to find places to go last week, with the 5 year old? Did you go to Lookout... I was there on the Tuesday (bit busy with two schools there as well).

fairimum · 15/02/2009 17:33

Yep - we went to the Lookout on Monday and then I ended up with Tues and Wed off (yippee!!!), my car ended up needing work on the Thursday so we did lots of crafty things at home and then we went to Marwell zoo on Friday - all in all was a great week!! Easter will be more interesting as even though they are away for a week he has a month off school!

KatyMac · 15/02/2009 19:18

Maybe not then....just a scrap too far

looneytune · 16/02/2009 14:50

quick reply whilst on hold to ofsted....yes, of course you can come! although you already know that from earlier - had nice time and much calmer than expected

see you all at 10am near park then
