babysitting rates?

Hi
Can I ask what the going hourly rate is for a school-aged (15/16yo) babysitter?

Kids should be in bed the whole time.

We are in the South East.

TIA

I pay our babysitters (sisters, aged 15 and 17) £5 an hour. I have 2 dds, both in bed when we go out, and they stay in bed (so far...)

We have a 15yo babysitter and pay £6 an hour (plus I leave biscuits etc), although I know other people pay her £5. Similar to you - they're in bed the whole time and we're in London. Sometimes we round it up a bit, because we like her!

We paid £20 for about 3 1/2 hours to 18yr old the other day

I run babysitting courses for 14-18yrs olds as part of my job and when they have done the course we suggest

£2.50-£3 an hr for 14-15yr olds

£3-£4 and hr for 16yr olds

£4-£6 an hr for 17-18yr olds

lower rate if no experience and higher rate if they have.
