Mum could not collect mindee early today (got training tonight). So she arranged for a friend of hers to collect LO. The friend has babysat LO lots and knows him well as he does her!

But, I was still heartsore to see him go because clearly he wanted to stay with me! And then I wonder does she know LO's word for drink and muslin cloth and biscuit and apple and raisins???

So silly but I completely and utterly adore this LO. Just wait for my posts come May when he has to leave me permanently.

WWofW: i think that's what it is - I feel like I "get" him and that he understands me 100% too.

Oh, well, one of the downsides of childcare. You have to give them back.

My childminder is on holiday most of this month, and due to dh's redundancy may not be watching the boys next month either. (really hope thats not going to happen). Anyway, when she said bye to them the last time she watched them, she was almost in tears as she wouldn't see them for 4 weeks.

As a mum who has to work and leave my boys with someone outside of family, I couldn't ask for more than someone that obviously loves them and is of protective of them as I would be.

I've been on the otherside of things and had a childminder who taught my then 2 yr old to swear, fed my 8 month old Mcd's and sent them home stinking of smoke, so believe me..childminders like you and my own one are heaven sent and worth your weight in gold
