Morning!

Any chance I can go back to bed??? Woke before 5 and have not been back to sleep.

So instead of getting up and doing something useful, I lay in bed wondering if I have caught nits and lice from my gorgeous 4 year old I have Fridays only

I think there is one child in this LO's class at preschool who is constantly infecting others because she is not being treated properly.

What a lovely breakfast conversation!!!

Morning!!

None of my dc have had nits yet (ds's are 17.6 and 13) and dd's are 4.6 and 2.6 so feel we have been very lucky lol. Do girls get them easier/more often?

Got nursery meeting so will need to take lots of snacks and books for mindee as she will create havoc if allowed to roam around!!

Numberfour · 04/02/2009 07:19

Morning, aGAl, no i have never had it either! my DS is in class with the girl mentioned above and so far he has not caught it.

Seems like girls do get them more than boys, but I am not sure if that is purely anecdotal or fact.

hope you enjoy your meeting! DH is driving me on the school runs today because our roads are so icy.

I keep the dd's hair up all the time at nursery and toddlers to lessen the chances of them getting it. Crazy but the thought of it makes my stomach churn.

Ach well off to start the day again. I need a holiday and soon!!

Morning,

Chaos is winning in the mums house, ds1 and 2 are fighting over just being near each other. They are all back to school today but at different times, ds2 is collected at 8, mindee to school 8.30, ds1 9.15 for 9.30 and ds3 to nursery for 9.30, and mums also has to wait for a phone call from tyhe tv repair man as the lamp has blown on our tv. Oh well, just today and then ds4 and I are away for a long weekend

Stick your head out in the snow and freeze them off No.4

Schools open here again (thank God) and after more snow last night it is beginning to melt here, so we can actually get out.

mumlove · 04/02/2009 08:04

Morning everyone.

No snow left and DD back to school . I could have understood it if they closed on Monday but not yesterday!

Off to soft play with mindee and some cm's from our group.

I hope the poorly ones are feeling better today.

eleanorsmum · 04/02/2009 08:07

hi all - very frosty here too today!

On the nits front girls do get them more but only because they tend to have longer hair which can mingle with other long hair easier when girls are playing, hence they can crawl across! So guess what dd's hair is alwyas tied up! keep it up reduces area they can crawl onto. bring back nit nurses imho!

anyway full day today three lo and dd to walk to school, then drop in and home for lunch and naps! am counting down the days till i stop this job and start my new one! and have alot of stuff to sell!

SammyK · 04/02/2009 08:08

Urgh, I am itching now! DS has had them from nursery - I think because he has long thick hair and all the other little boys have short crop cuts. Only one little girl in his class.

Have a good day everyone.

mumlove · 04/02/2009 08:25

Not going to soft play as mindee has cancelled been up all night with a high temp. so just the afterschoolies to collect later.

coolj · 04/02/2009 08:47

I cant stop itching reading this thread.

Just waiting for mindees to arrive and we are off to soft play.

We havent got any snow or frost . We only had one day of it.

Have a good day.

Numberfour · 04/02/2009 09:10

No scratching here (have quite short hair so haven't caught them myself yet!) but I'm pulling hair out anyway.....

the tv worked fine yesterday am and then stopped working at lunch (the lamp has blown)
Dh's car worked fine this am and stopped working at lunch (break light switch has blown)

I am refusing o do anthing else for the remainder of the day, and will touch everything tomorrow with gloved hands (including the plane), so hopefully the touch of mums won't work through the gloves!!!!
