Hi

Planning to study this Cache qualification via distance learning with the NEC.

Anyone have any experience of this and/or advice.

Thanks

No - but I'm doing the NVQ3.

The level of work is fine.....but the amount is ridiculus....I'm supposed to do 15 hrs a week....when??

Good luck with your ECP, hope it goes well

doraexplorer · 31/03/2005 20:42

Thanks Katie Mac - knew i could rely on you (i changed my name after getting 'too down')

I did think about the NVQ but had already done the first two parts of the certificate.

How is it going with the extension plans?

motherinferior · 31/03/2005 21:04

I wrote a piece on it a while ago...

KatieMac · 31/03/2005 21:07

On the ECP - can we read it?

Can you do a link??

motherinferior · 31/03/2005 21:13

Sort of covering the ECP, for a trade mag as part of a bigger piece on early years development. I'm afraid I can't do a link and I don't actually think it's been published yet!

Fascinating piece, I looked at stuff like the PreSchool Learning Alliance Cache-accredited diploma and the new Foundation Degree as well.

KatieMac · 31/03/2005 21:18

Which did you think the most of/was the best?

Will you link it when it is published?

Sorry Dora, didn't mean to hijack...

motherinferior · 31/03/2005 21:28

Can't link but will try and remember to let you know.

motherinferior · 31/03/2005 21:29

...sorry, my brain has gone fuzzy after writing about garden design all today

doraexplorer, I did the ICP, DCP and ECP all in one year, actually 30 weeks, 3 terms at college. I did it a while ago now, but It is not as hard as you think.

A tip my tutor gave me was to stop thinking in terms of 'degree level' answers. You only have 1-2000 2words max for some of the assignments.

If you need any help, just sout, good luck!

doraexplorer · 01/04/2005 20:03

Thanks everyone

Motherinferior i would be interested to read it too if possible.

Alibubbles will probably shout quite loud - sent of grant form so cant start yet. Did the DCP night classes two hours a week just took ages and problem with tutor and just turned into a mess.

Katiemac - good luck with the opening (12th is my birthday!!)

I'm off to Cornwall in the morning for a week. Self catering etc but no computer link - how will i cope without Mumsnet! Packed Vodka though.....
