I can't find the article on times online but this is a commentary on it here

Unicef have made some pretty bold statements, but the Times seem to have done a good job with the bad vs good. Also seemed against nursery, not really a childminding thing. Not sure what to make of it.

I loved the article. I think it is pro care for good nurseries and good childminders, but that there are shite carers out there and they are the ones doing the damage, so if you are well off enough to get your baby into a really good nursery then it's fine but not for the less well off who go to the government funded nurseries.

The one thing she misses is that childminders provide loving care and are generally a lot cheaper than good nurseries.

'for good nurseries and good childminders'
'by good nurseries and good childminders'

It was very interesting, also said about poorer families being pushed out to work and being targeted by bad childcare. Hopefully something good comes out of it.

I think you have a good point, I kept thinking that myself, but I am completely biased as a c/m myself.
