can 2 CMs register to work at the same home?

Can a new CM have an assistant immediately?

By myself 6 under 8 3 under 5 1 under 1
With DH 12 under 8, 6 under 5 2 under 1

That changed to

By myself 6 under 8 3 under 5 2 under 1
With DH 12 under 8, 6 under 5 3 under 1

With twins

The became
By myself 6 under 8 3 under 5 2 under 1
With DH 12 under 8, 6 under 5 3 under 1
With another CM 12 under 8, 9 under 5 3 under 1

Assistants are trickier because they maynot increase you total numbers ie
With assistant 6 under 8, 6 under 5 1(or 2) under 1

Sorry Katy I forgot about this thread! Thanks for much for your detailed advice. I'm just trying to double check that an assistant allows at least 6 under 5s even if you're only just registered.

I assume it also goes on floor space etc, what sort of sized house do you have if you don't mind me asking?

Yes - you understand you might not get the 5-8's

Floorspace is in EYFS (but I can't remember where)

I think it is 3.5 per under3 2.5 per 2-3 & 2.3 per 3-5
