Morning!

What shall I make the little ones for lunch today?

Toast is lovely, thanks! My kettle blew up last night so my coffee is being made in the microwave. Yick

Mine have braised steak, we had it last night

We had chilli and veg with leftover roast lamb from a few weeks ago (frozen!!) so I could not give them that!

Pasta yesterday. Beans on Toast? French toast?

My mum used to make lovely braised steak and when she was feeling posh, she would add mushrooms.

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 04/12/2008 07:31

at your posh mum.

What about cheese omelet, I make it and cut it into squares for the little ones to eat with their fingers (actually doing a lot of finger foods as have a 12 month with out much finer motor skills, who loves food.)

Bril idea! Thanks! DS always moans that he does not like it and then laps it up.

Yes, I do lots of finger food too for 19 month and 13 month old. Until 2 months ago 13 month old was still on puree . Much better now!

Busy day (for a change)

Reflexology - then lots of tidying & sorting

SammyK · 04/12/2008 08:07

Hi everyone the weather is horrid here, dark and icy and raining sleet.

We are having vegetable soup for lunch.

SammyK · 04/12/2008 08:24

Can I just ask - one of my 22m old mindees stuck on the word car. He is saying it every few minutes. He is car mad. At first I thought great,we count the cars, ehat colour is the car, is it big or small, lets make it fast and so on, but still stuck on the word car! It's literally been months now. Help.

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 04/12/2008 08:30

Sausages, fried onion, pineapple & baked beans

SammyK · 04/12/2008 09:37

We do something very similar to that KM, our american friend gaves us the recipe, he makes it for our camp outs that we go to. Ours has fried onions (throw sugar in the frying pan to caramelise them), beans, pineapple, chopped bacon, bbq sauce and bourbon. Yummy.

ToysAreLikeDogs · 04/12/2008 13:10

Hi all

Music group this morning

Can I have a little boast ?

Have had my results for units 2 and 3 of CACHE Diploma in Home based child care...Got an A in Unit 2 and a B in Unit 3

Am working on Unit 4 currently

ToysAreLikeDogs · 04/12/2008 13:12

Ooooh and I forgot to say - I had a lovely email from someone today, can't work out who though

looneytune · 04/12/2008 13:34

not read messages, just whizzing through before clearing away kitchen stuff.......can't believe i've actually got all 4 napping at once!!! off to clean kitchen then be back (hopefully)

looneytune · 04/12/2008 14:19

Back again.

I love sausage casserole, I just do ours in slow cooker with tomatoes, baked beans, peppers, onions, mushrooms and mixed herbs - may try these new ideas as would NEVER have thought of putting pineapple in!

coolj - enjoy your afternoon off

Toys - well done, that's fab news

Must go as 2 mindees have woken up and are giggling!! My own baby has been asleep for 3 and half hours!!!! so I really need to get him up for the school run. He only usually sleeps for 45 mins-1 hour but he's been so unwell and hardly sleeping at night, don't blame him for catching up with sleep (wish I could!)

Catch up later

SammyK · 04/12/2008 15:33

Kay comes in the staff room, slowly counts to ten, breathes, then goes back to children . . .

NumberFour · 04/12/2008 16:09

you okay, SammyK? did the counting help???

SammyK · 04/12/2008 16:21

I will have to come back later (will be later too as mum coming for tea - marvellous)

NumberFour · 04/12/2008 19:15
