Good God woman you were up before me!

I hope you are feeling better?

I have the fire going full, as the downstairs radiators are not working

I hope its not anything major, as at the moment we are due to move quarters into a newly refurbished one in February, if it is the boiler going they will move us into the first available, and I do NOT want to move this side of Christmas!

NumberFour · 01/12/2008 06:59

I feel human again!! I cannot believe how grim i felt just from a tummy bug!

Oh, you lucky thing to have a fire! We are in a horrid little two up two down. No, I certainly would not want to move before Christmas, either. Good luck.

First mindee due to arrive..... NOW!

Its not a pretty fire, a 1970's gas one [yuk]

The Refurbs have very fancy new ones, will be lovely, but not this month.

aGalChangedHerName · 01/12/2008 07:08

Morning jeez it's bloody cold!!

I should be going to toddlers this morning but i so cannot be bothered. I have a little bit of paperwork to do for my imminent inspection. I hate having to do it after work so will set up an activity for dd2 and mindee and do paperwork while supervising them.

I need to work out what to charge mindees parents for doing a sleepover too. Haven't done it before so no idea what to charge. Mum says he gets up at 6am so needs to be worth my while!!!

mumsanutter · 01/12/2008 07:28

Morning

Mums had a bad night, worrying myself over my hosp appt today, when there is nothing that I can do about it until I know what is happening!!!

Glad to hear that you are feeling better No4, how did the diy go and tip run??

Shoshe, I hope that its nothing major on the house front. Do you have gas central heating? Could the flame have gone out? Air blockage in pipe? the little ones have turned them off (my ds2 did this one year!!)

Gal, hope that you get your paperwork done. I can't help you about the sleepover - I don't do this. Looney might be able to help (I think!)

Puts on a pot of strong coffee, lots of hot foodage on the table and wanders back out worrying about uncontrollable events.....

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 01/12/2008 07:32

Chin up Mums, fingers crossed for you.

The upstairs rads are working, and the water is hot, all powered by the same boiler, so all I can think is it is some sort of blockage to the downstairs ones.

Will phone MHS (the Army Housing Bods) and sit in for the first 4 appointments they will not come to, and go out for the one they don't book, and then eventually they will get here, for them to say they haven't got the part, and leave it another two weeks. [sigh]

mumlove · 01/12/2008 08:02

Morning everyone.

It's the start of christmas here .
DD cannot wait to open the advent calendars.
Our local CM group have the mindees christmas party today so have wrote out cards last night and dug out my christmas hat to wear . (need xmas smileys).

Will be out for most of the day so enjoy yourselves.

coolj · 01/12/2008 08:25

Morning everyone, brrrrrr. I love looking out onto sparkly whiteness.

It makes me feel sooo Christmassy.

Having a quiet day today, just one mindee soon. Tomorrow going on a Xmas outing, Wed, Xmas party and so on. In other words a busy few weeks ahead.

Hope you all have a good day.

looneytune · 01/12/2008 09:39

Morning all, was about to see how everyone was doing but 1st mindee just pulled up so better go. Try and catch up later, hope all are well, feels like not been here much recently! x

nannynick · 01/12/2008 11:04

My usual day off, so as usual I'm not doing much. Need to sort out Xmas shopping I suppose. 18 degrees indoors (and yes my heating is on), 3 degrees outdoors - do I really want to venture out to the shops.

Just had a parent cancel several evenings babysitting... they are going on a last-minute holiday - nice for some hey.

Went to Bingo last night... and someone won £10,000 - needless to say, it wasn't me who won... in fact I didn't win anything at all. Ah well, got me out of the house socialising with friends.

nannynick · 01/12/2008 11:29

Just had a text from my mum, she's in Thailand. Says that she is having a great time. Now likely to fly out from Phuket, though things are not confirmed at this stage. May not be back for the weekend (she was due to work this coming weekend, ah well, her boss may need to cope without her).

NumberFour · 01/12/2008 13:33

can anyone tell me why I do not have the guts to tell a friend of mine that the person she pays to look after her son and who she calls a childminder is NOT!

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmm not a easy one Number4

Glad you have chatted with your mum Nick

Busy week then CoolJ

Mums

mumsanutter · 01/12/2008 14:02

Thanks for the hugs. Been to the hospital, have another appointment on the 15th dec at 2.45pm (why do they never think that we have children to care for!!!), but before I go back need to have a mammogram and ultrasound, so am waiting for appointments to be rung through to me!! So another 2 weeks of wondering what is happening and then I'm sure that there will be more waiting over christmas - oh what joy!!

looneytune · 01/12/2008 14:21

Right, proper catch up now.

Shoshe - hope the heating gets sorted, it's bloody cold today

No4 - sorry you were poorly but pleased you're feeling better

Gal - hope you did what you needed to do. Just noticed about overnight care, I do this and charge £70 a night (i'm in Berkshire). It was the mum of regular(ish) overnighter who decided on the fee!

Mumlove - I'd forgotten about advent calendar, oh ds1 will be excited when I remind him after school

coolj - enjoy your Christmas things, I've got a busy few weeks too, can't believe how soon it is til Christmas I just don't feel I have the time for it right now

Mums - lots of hugs, must be so hard for you, keeping everything crossed it's all ok for you x

Nick - wow, what a lucky win!

Matnan - hello

I'm just going to eat my lunch and then it's off on the COLD school run. I've now ordered a triple buggy as my back went when I had ds2 in the sling at the weekend and it may me decide to send back the back carrier and get a triple!! Can't wait to get it, just hope it fits in my car ok

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 01/12/2008 15:28

Heating sorted, but just been told, the house move will now be the week of the 5th January!

Oh Joy.

At least I only had schoolies that week.

southernbelle77 · 01/12/2008 15:50

Hi all,

Sorry not had time to catch up today. Been really busy today with making christmas things and children (and me) not being too well.

Will catch up later when have more than 5 minutes!

mumlove · 01/12/2008 16:14

Afternoon.

1 xmas party finished, just the rest to go. I also managed to NOT to sit on santas knee this year.

Off to relax with a hot drink now mindee has gone home .

MatNanPlus · 01/12/2008 19:01

LooneyTune which triple? Hope your back is feeling better.

Shoshe hmmm, not the best date but at least it is the right year!!

Maybe not Mums

looneytune · 01/12/2008 20:36

Matnan - it's the O'baby one. I ordered it from Kiddiecare as they have good deals and it's certainly cheaper that Mothercare! My back is ok thanks but not 100% - you know when you just know you need to be careful!

MatNanPlus · 01/12/2008 21:01

Nice, and yes know the dicky back feeling well

MatNanPlus · 01/12/2008 21:02

Will the same threee littlies be using the new wheels?

New liners for christmas gifts?

looneytune · 01/12/2008 21:20

It will be different children on different days. Monday, Tuesday and Friday I have the same children so ds2 (5 months), mindee1 (21 months) and mindee2 (11 months). On Wednesday and Thursday, for the school run it will be mindee3 (19 months) instead of mindee2, the others will be the same. The only difference is if using during certain hours on those 2 days, I've got all 4 of them at the same time so if needed the triple then, would be the 3 younger ones in pram and older one holding on.
