I've just come back from a very successful first meet for a 5 year old. I went to them as my house is still in construction zone but are meeting them here when things are wrapped up in a couple of weeks...

ANYWAY... as he is just five, I will need to do EYFS until August right? What kinds of "long term" planning/monthly/weekly planning/obs/assessments do I with him??? He's only part-time, if that makes any difference at all?

I haven't got a clue love, but its been such a loooong time since I spoke to you, I couldn't resist posting!

How the devil are you? Family all OK? What's with the construction, what's going on?

Heya Mo, had kitchen gutted and slowly being put to rights. Think all the way down to electrics and replastering.. we are in painting hell at the moment. Everyone is lovely - babe is exactly 6 months now, which is just madness.

How are you?? Teaching going well I hope?

Its going really well, thanks. I'm Head Cover Supervisor now! I get in at 7.15am and take all the calls from sick teachers and organise cover for them, do lots of paper work and phone calls and generally try to make the school run as smoothly as possible, without anyone noticing that teachers are missing! It's a crazy couple of hours, between 7 and 9, when eveyone is settling down for the day. I only cover a couple of lessons a day now, since I've got other stuff to do, but its a good balance and I really like it.

I know how you feel with the kitchen. We are almost finished with our building now. Kitchen is all done, just carpet and skirting board in the dining area. (I should be glossing now actually, the carpet is being fitted next week!)

I thought a Head Cover Supervisor was going to be somebody who checked that everybody was wearing hats

Are you going to diss me on the threads I'm on? If so, you've missed the 'SO, what is for dinner one!'

crace · 25/11/2008 20:51
