daily contact sheets

I wondered if anybody would tell me what form their daily contact sheet takes? and what info is on it.

i have daily diaries or a sheet with my business name (if they constantly forget fiaries)on and then add childs name, date and anything they got up to that day/ate/slept/pooped/learned(eyfs obs)

the ones I get have:
Name
Date
Sleep (boxes to fill in times of naps)
Milk (boxes to fill in time and oz)
Nappies (fill in times, tick 'w' or 's')
Food (lines to write what it was and how they ate)
and a box for notes / comments ('DD has had a lovely day and has enjoyed chasing Hugo and playing with the animals')

so do you just give the parent a copy to keep or do you keep a copy yourself?

I have a daily diary system. I keep one for myself, that I can also put any concerns, make note of any conversations etc in, and a separate diary that I kept for each child, that the parent can take home at the end of each day.

on my mindees first day i gave the parents a comprehensive account of the day inc pictures. I dont intend to do this every day but how much info should i be giving?

I tend to write the meals at the top of the page withthe date, and then write what we have done throughout the day. The amount of detail really depends on what we have done through the day. I like to let the parents know what we have done, and my diary is a little more in deoth as can use as evidence foe EYFS

I write a page of A5 size - diary

I put in food, dirty nappies, how many naps & what happened

If we are monitoring it I may put wet nappies, drinks & lengths of sleep

Plus photos & stuff to take home once/twice a week
