impending inspection....help!

have just been told i have my first inspection in December, does anyone have any tips on how to impress the inspector and what is it they will do exactly?

Steph29, have a look at some of the threads in this section. There are loads of tips. Another tip is to look at recent OFSTED reports that have been done since the implementation of EYFS.
I would give you a link to a thread setting out loads of things that you could have in place but i have not worked out how to do that yet. Sorry!

I had my first one last week .... I think anything to do with learning through play will impress. I bought some policies, planning forms etc from ebay, they alot of editing but really helped, if you do, go for the more expensive ones, apparently the cheap ones are crap.

No need to buy policies because the Bromley Childminding Association's websites have them online. I think there are also some on the NCMA website and from what I can remember you don't need to be a member to access them.

I had my inspection last friday

very hot on risk assessments, planning, complaints file, ermmm following the learning a development and next steps of the indivdual child

I have over 5's and she wanted to see evidence of planning for them too i had some phew

planning for over 5s!! When to kids get to chill after a hard day at school!!
