NO SMOKING POLICY
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY
DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT
MANAGEMENT OF BEHAVIOUR POLICY

Please can anyone let me know of any that I have missed??

Thanks

Complaints Policy, they were quite hot on having this when I was at the last network meeting.

mumnosbest · 04/11/2008 18:35

When doing our ICP training we were given a list of policies we might need. These are the ones you haven't listed so far (might not all be relevant):
sun care,
observations,
arrivals and collections,
behaviour mangement and rewards,
clothing and belongings,
healthy eating, health and safety,
lost child,
nappy changing and personal hygiene,
outings and travel,
partnerships with parents,
holidays and absences,
over 8's.

It is now being suggested that you do a Terrorism Policy - when I first heard this, I thought it was a wind-up, but my network co-ordinator has confirmed that this is now being encouraged. More

There is actually a sample one on the Bromley childminding site.

I think I will have a general policy which states that I will try to use my common sense in the event of any kind of emergency

TP, I thought the Terroist Policy was just a recommendation for us living om a Forces Camp!!! Do you have to have one too!

ThePrisoner · 04/11/2008 20:10

So I have been told, yes, and I am certainly nowhere even near a Forces Camp.

I am wondering whether I should also have a Random-Person-Running-Around-With-A-Gun Policy, an Escaped Tiger Policy, and an Earthquake/Tornado/Plague of Locusts Policy just to be on the safe side.

looneytune · 04/11/2008 20:34

Sorry but PMSL at TP I've had a horrible down day, mainly down to major tiredness, and reading TP being the way I LOVE her being has just cheered me up

Shoshe · 04/11/2008 20:35

Armageddon Policy?

Just so you known what to do if Bruce Willis goes off into space!

My Handbook, with policies and such for parents is now 40 pages long. Nuts!

looneytune · 04/11/2008 20:37

SillyMillysMummy · 04/11/2008 20:38

looneytune · 04/11/2008 20:43

Shoshe, of course they will!! I wish they'd hurry up and visit you, I'm DESPERATE to know how you get on plus find out what they think of your recording of EYFS etc. Keeping everything crossed for you

Shoshe · 04/11/2008 20:44

You are, I'm so desperate, I need a wee!

To be honest just want it over and done with.

looneytune · 04/11/2008 20:47

Don't blame you, it's horrible hanging around isn't it, especially when you're missing out on groups etc.

ThePrisoner · 05/11/2008 00:19

What about a What If A Mindee Trips Over My Paperwork Policy?

Shoshe · 05/11/2008 06:47

tulip31 · 05/11/2008 07:16
