Morning!! When I saw the staff room was open, I guessed it would be you, Shoshe!

I must have missed something: your last OFSTED? I am also considering giving up Sept 09 when my son goes to school. I will be doing the 6 month EYPS course starting Jan so hopefully that will mean I can move on.

Shoshe · 04/11/2008 07:14

Yes No.4, I am retiring in July next year, DH leaves the Armyy then any we are moving, so would like the house back to myself.

I will be working part time, hopefully in a teenage mum unit.

Morning, unhealthy sounds good this morning. Does anyone else have one of their own children that they just don't seem to get along with at times?? Finding my ds2 very hard work at the mo!

Good luck shoshe, you'll be ok - I'm sure!

Another question - has anyone done the foundation degree in childcare through the OU?

Look at me with the questions!!!!! Thanks for the coffee and bits, then tulip wanders off to reawaken ds1, oh the joys of being back at school

london11 · 04/11/2008 07:22

Shoshe - good luck today. Phone me on my mobile if no sign of her by 1030. I am in the area and will pop in. xx

Can anyone remind me why I do this job?

I don't want to do more courses etc Im not an academic in any way the children are happy/ parents are happy so I must be doing something right so why do I need to do more courses etc is it just to make me feel totally inadequate

I love what I do but some days feel like the downsides outweigh the good sides.

I don't feel I can give up, I wouldn't want to do anything else but seriously how cna I carry on if I'm not going to pass the courses?

LoveMyGirls · 04/11/2008 07:41

Sorry that post was very me me me

Shoshe - you'll be 100% fine but good luck anyway!

mumlove · 04/11/2008 07:58

Morning everyone.

Lots of lovely unhealthy things to make my cold better, thankyou very much

Shoshe - Fingers crossed for today so you can get back to a normal week.

Have a wonderful day all.

coolj · 04/11/2008 08:04

Morning all. I cant believe its another beautiful sunny day (brrr). I think I will go to the beach today for a lovely walk (all wrapped up of course). We could always make a firework shaped sandcastle.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

By the way tulip, kids do test the limits sometimes. My DS1 is hankering after a day off school. I just know hes faking it (ok so he has got a bit of a head cold). But his head is not hanging off, therefore hi ho, hi ho, its off to school you go.....

(skips off merrily to get ready)

KatyMac · 04/11/2008 08:11

OK - now I have made all my staff redundant I am getting tonnes of enquiries double

southernbelle77 · 04/11/2008 09:07

Good luck Shoshe is Ofsted come today

SammyK · 04/11/2008 09:30

Morning all

Shoshe - hope she arrives today, will keep my fingers crossed for you. You decided against going over to the dark side yourself then?

KM - what happened yesterday? good to hear you have enquiries coming in again.

No4, my ds starts ful time school too next sept, sounds like we have similar plans. What is the EYP 6 month course??

LMG - are you doing a course at the mo or just dreading doing one? sorry you are down, sounds like you are doing a great job though if all your parents and kids are happy.

Mumlove - here you go

Hello SBelle, coolJ, london, and tulip too

KatyMac · 04/11/2008 09:33

over here - don't add to it

I hope I was professional

SammyK · 04/11/2008 10:20

Ah I saw the first few posts on that and didn't have time to add to it. Seems everything is covered.

It is scary how little parents know about the implications of using unregistered care.

Shoshe · 04/11/2008 10:41

OK doesn't look as if she is coming today, this is almost as bad as waiting for MamaG to give birth

SammyK · 04/11/2008 13:35

Oh shoshe, I wondered if she had been! Never mind.

I have just fund out no afternoon kids this aft, so finish at 2:30 instead of 6. Have a guess what I'll be doing.

I only have . . .(goes off to count), 14 more KEs/PCs to answer!!

AbbaFan · 04/11/2008 14:05

Hi Everyone,

Nice day so far, been to out CM group.

Pop into tomorrows staff room, it's quiet on the boards tonight.
You can rack our brains and help yourself to drinks and buns.
