I have worked as a nursery nurse so i would of been ofsted registered to work their! Is this the same as parents wanting to have a registered nanny to get child care vouchers?

No

It is a separate system - have a look on the OFSTED website

You should meet the training requirements though, assuming you are a qualified nursery nurse. So you will just need insurance and to complete the registration paperwork. Could take a couple of months to get you reg number through.
