Hi everyone, I am periodically doing my coursework.

So thought I'd say hello seen as I'm bored having a study break.

Can everyone rememeber my friend who left me in lurch, was minding her baby? I need to have some opinions on whether I should patch things up or not. I am choosy about who I bother with, but fear I have expected too much. TBH am more mad at myself for being too trusting and not busines like enough with her. See her all the time and it's awkward, don't want things to be strained whenever we meet. WWYD?

I made up with someone I fell out with over a year ago - I guess we won't ever be best mates - but I got a sense of closure and a new relationship that I am learning the rules for

I have been stewing over this TBH, miss the friendship but do realise it would never be the same in that I know her better now, and not in a good light. She has been a very good friend in the past though, completely supportive when I have had problems. Part of me wishes I could have taken it less personally, but that's who I am. Still in a real financial mess too.

What made you make up in the end KM?
I just don't know what to do for best.

Well I have been trying for over a year & getting blocked

But I was in such a strop about collecting a misbehaving child (from a staff member at the park - she had phoned and asked for support) I started talking to her as I was marching across the playground to collect the child & it kinda snowballed

SammyK · 30/08/2008 21:39

Hmm, don't know what to say to her either. We had a bbq/fancy dress last weekend and avoided each other, however she has also invited me to son's bday party and baby's christening, so I think I need to hold out the olive branch if I want to make up as I think she has tried. God I do ramble!

Tricky. can you phone & ask what they want for pressies to to check the time or something?

SammyK · 30/08/2008 21:55

I don't know.

Bday party is in a month, christening is after that. Also I know it sounds petty but that is just more financial pressure - can't even afford the bl**dy mortgage, and it's because of them taking advantage of my softness that I am in this mess with money.

I think I want to make up but still angry - but if I leave things too long then that's that isn't it.

SammyK · 30/08/2008 22:06

Sorry to hear that KM, bills need paying it sucks. How have your staff taken it? It must be hard for you.

I have applied for weekend retail work to tide me over, can't really work m-f at the mo with ds, would be too much for him in another setting.

Well I am surprised they seem to think it's OK for me to go out to work and for them to stay at mine childminding

I am trying to keep the team together but struggling

SammyK · 30/08/2008 22:16

In the current climate people are just thinking of themselves sadly.

You need to do the same KM, it is your business and your home, I do admire you trying to keep everything going though.
