Does early Tax-Free Childcare reconfirmation affect your next confirmation date or are they tied to term dates?

I'm confused trying to figure out when my next confirmation will be later this year. I know the system will tell me, but I'm trying to understand whether confirming early in the window brings my next confirmation sooner, or vice versa, or whether it makes no difference.

Also how do you answer the questions if you know a change will happen in the weeks/months after the reconfirmation? Do you just wait until the next one to change your answers?

I don't believe it changes your dates. It's every 3 months rather than related to term dates.

Regarding change - you are being asked to confirm the amount you (and partner if applicable) will earn in the next 3 months is over the threshold. If the change means you won't earn over the threshold then you can't confirm now. If it's a job change but the amount will still be over then you can reconfirm now and change the employment details next time. That's what we did a couple of times and the system was happy with it.
