I CM a little girl who is just ova a yr. Her sister of 7 has chicken pox.
My ds had chicken pox when he was 7 weeks old.
The girl I CM hasnt come out in them YET!!
She is comin to me on Wed. If she hasnt come out in spots by then, have I got the right to say Im not having her as its innevitable that she will catch it.
Iv heard that because my ds had it at such a young age the chances are quite high that he will get it again.
I really dont mind him gettin it again but just not right now as I have such a lot on at the moment, well I wont go into that, but its just not a good time.

It is not inevitable that she will catch it. My 3 year old DD has recently had it, but despite living in the same house the one year old didnt get it.
My DDs nursery were happy for me to continue brining the one year old in, and only keep her off if she got it ( which is lucky in hindsight, as she didnt get it).

Never guarenteed, but likely I would have thought with siblings.

When did the girl's sister start with her spots? Given incubation is 9-21 days, it could be three weeks until the girl you mind gets cpox. Can't see you could keep her off for 3 weeks...

Oh yeah.See,! this is why I come here!
To get the answers I need.
Its all very clear now.
She got the spots last Monday.

I think that's a bit premature to say you won't have her just in case - my DD2 had chicken pox, and DD3 only got it 2.5 weeks later. I wouldn't have thought you could refuse to have her for 2-3 weeks.

I was glad DD3's nursery let her go until she actually got it, otherwise I would have had to take a month off work!!

If he had a mild case then he might get it again. It is not really an age thing. DD has just had it and it was a pretty bad case but she was fine in about 10 days. Nursery weren't as bothered as I was as she was the last in her room to catch it!
