Nursery start date

Looking for a little help getting my head round nursery dates as a FTM.

I will be looking for my child to start nursery early August 2027. I understand I’ll be able to get 30 hours free childcare from 1st September.

Can my child start nursery early August fully paid then get the funding from 1st September?

Yes if the nursery have space and you have an eligible code by 31st August at the latest.

In our borough you’d need to wait until September for funding and pay August in full as that would be way past the headcount date for summer term - even if the setting stretched the hours.
