Hi,
I have 2 dc's - ds 3.7 and dd 19 months. Ds goes to playschool Monday-Thursday 9:15am-12:45pm and dd is at home all day (she can start the playschool in Sept/Oct)
I have just been offered the oppertunity to work part time - Mon-Fri hours 9:30-1:30pm, so ideally I would be looking for somebody who will be able to have both children from about 8:45ish, be able to take ds to playschool and collect him at 12:45 until I could collect them both at around 2:30pm.
It sounds like a really good oppertunity for me and as my husband passed away in August this would also give me the chance to meet new friends and talk to some adults ... the job would require 4 weeks training however, where the hours would be 9am - 5pm ... so I would need somebody who would be willing to to that at first. Excuse me if I am typing rubbish but I have never had childcare before and so am unsure what to do Thanks

Hi,

Im a nanny based in the Brentwood area of essex, I however work two days a week in Langdon Hills, I was wondering if theres any chance of a Nanny share situation etc. Where abouts are you based?

Mummy2TandF · 10/06/2008 14:32

NannyTinks89 - I am based in Romford, so not far at all from Brentwood - it is a shame you already work 2 days a week because the job that I have been offered is everyday, just half days!! Am not too sure of how a nanny share would work, however I would prefer the dc's to just have me and the one childminder/nanny looking after them as after losing their Daddy I would like tham to have some security IYSWIM

Ok, I can fully understand. Im sorry to hear about youre loss, If you are ever at a short end feel free to contact me.

Also I would suggest trying Gumtree.com to look for a nanny, and also nannyjob.co.uk have a brilliant list of top agencies.

Good luck with youre search!

NannyTinks89 · 10/06/2008 14:38

Just to quickly confirm my avaliability, I work two days a week 11am-7pm.

Thanks again - it's a shame that you already have arrangements - I have had a browse on Gumtree, but they all seem to be looking for work in London - and I am not in London ... nevermind - I will continue looking

Sorry to hijack- Nanny Tinks I am in Shenfield and looking for childcare 3 days a week from September. What days are you free?

NannyTinks89 · 11/06/2008 11:39

Uhh, I canbe pretty flexible with these days, my current employer is paying well under the odds for me so genereally knows she cant take the pee with it, but preferably Tuesdays and Fridays, but i am willing to set up a share situation, I could bring the little girl I work with (6months old) to next job etc..

Drop me a line ([email protected]) if you want to have a chat about this.

keevamum · 11/06/2008 18:14

I will be working weds, Thurs and Fri. I have put the 2 year old's name down for a nursery for 1 of the days but don't know which day she'll get yet.I will e-mail you though with further details.

Hi - just wanted to say I am a Mum new to childminding but looking for mindees in Essex. I am in Coggeshall near Colchester. Let me know if you would like to speak to me further about this.

keevamum · 14/06/2008 15:46

I live in Shenfield and would love to speak further re childminding but personally I would think Coggeshall is a bit too far from Shenfield...but let me know if you disagree..

Hi, mummy2tandf, i can't really help, but i know that if you contact the childrens information service they can give you a list of registered childminders in the area. Hope it helps, and good luck with the job
