Help with lost beloved bear!

Please help! My dd lost her beloved bear that she chewed, cuddled, played with etc. when we went to Cardiff 2 years ago. the distress at the time reduced my DH and I to tears but we thought we had got over it. Until now. DD has suddenly remembered this bear and I am just searching for one the same: he is a white floppy bear with a blue scarf and hat that was bought from mothercare. She is screaming for him as I do this post and wants him back ....SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP! xx

Post this on the toys reunited thread

Contact manufacturers. this is what I did when dd lost her rabbit that was no longer available in shops. They sent me 2 as they were now a discontinued line

Hi inceywincey, have you looked on Ebay? It's very hard not to get hooked on it!!! Good luck, and i hope you find a floppy bear with a blue scarf

my dd has a mothercare bear that goes everywhere too!!! they go on ebay for about £25 now luckily i bought quite a few before the were discontinued! good luck

aww your poor DD

its always a good idea to buy a few of toys if they get very attched to them as sillymillymummy did

wonder why your DD suddenly remembered 2 years later about her bear? As now older and maybe more likely to understand could you not go out today and buy another bear similar (and buy a few) and try to make this bear the new fav toy?

tbh I try and not make one particular toy a real favourite, becaue of what happened to you

good luck with your search

What size is this bear??

inceywincey · 07/06/2008 21:36

Hi, and thanks for the advice...good idea about going and buying a new one to be new fave, or several! One of the little boys I look after has three cats: one lives at mine, one at home and one for spare...good thinking on mum's behalf! I think she saw a picture of the bear in happier times, and has since become quite distraught, and also concerned about how the bear feels!

Organiseme: it is about 14 inches in length...please tell me you have one that I could buy!

Can you link to a picture, someone may have one gathering dust they can send on?
