David Lloyd kids clubs opinions

Hey so as a home ed single mum I really value having some time to myself to just unwind and exercise and there's nowhere near me which offers a crèche. So I've been going to a place in London once or twice a week which is actually fantastic for everything they offer but it's a two hour commute, just to get a bit of a break, so we don't go as often as I'd like to and it feels a bit of a waste of the monthly cost.

I've just seen a David Lloyd is opening near me, and I'm wondering if anyone could tell me how good the kids club is in general with David Lloyd? My daughter has SEN and the place we go to is great in that they have a mix of crèche and kids club so she can go in and out with little breaks with me to help her with her regulation. So we might arrive, do an hour of the playground and soft play, then an hour free play of crèche, grab some food together, then the two hour kids club which is a different structured activity and time in the soft play with other children her age.

I spoke to membership team and it's about the same price, obviously without the commute, to sign up at DL, but their kids club is two hours per day and structured activities. İs there enough variety for a child to go 5-7 days a week for two hours and how good is it? They said 15-20 kids at a time so I'm also wary the group size may be too overwhelming for my daughter, although obviously it would be so much better for us commute wise if it suited her needs.

I (and my DC) love the kids club. Mine go four times a week and enjoy it everytime, no complaints about repetitiveness but in all fairness they are quite young so probs wouldn’t notice. It is about 15 kids at mine but it’s not ‘rowdy’ as such. The people who work there are lovely and seem to really get to know the kids.

Thank you that's lovely to hear. Do you have an idea of the timetable so I could get an idea of what the new club will offer?

My kids enjoyed the clubs OP but at ours only the crèche (5 and under) operated in the week daytime (morning/ afternoon). The 5-7 and 7-10 groups were afterschool or weekend only. Make sure you check before you commit!
