So I found an amazing nanny on the nannyjob website. I want to do everything above board and do right by her, so I decided the easiest option is a payroll service. I've heard nannytax isn't great, so I started browsing other payroll services like NannyPaye or PAYE for Nannies or Nannywage. There seems to be a plethora of options. How do you all pay your nannies? Is cheap and cheerful NannyWage the way to go or is a payroll service something you shouldn't cheap out on?
We've had an au pair before, but we just paid her by weekly bank transfer. We didn't do it properly and it became a mess. Honestly don't think she reported her earnings even though technically she probably should have. Maybe we should have? Anyway, what's done is done. But now it's important to me that we dot all our i's and cross our t's this time.
Oh and the new nanny is starting on Tuesday!! I don't have much time to figure this out. Any advice for starting with a new nanny is also welcome, payroll services or otherwise
