I'm desperately looking for a nice lady to help me with my boys after school care, 3 afternoons a week plus extra full days during the holidays.

I've tried Au Pairs but thier driving was terrible!

Thanks so much K. I had the worst ever week with the girl who looked after my boys - she resigned yesterday giving me no notice. Probably a good thing in hindsight - she didn't really care about my little boys and indeed on Thursday they got pushed around, kicked and hit by a group of big boys in the Tippendale Lane park whilst she sat on the park bench chatting on her mobile. All very distressing for me.
Are you a working mum?

Morning
I have 2 children - 19 and 14. I have worked as a nanny and childminder (currently nannying - start new job on Mon - v excited )
I have used a childminder in the past for my son between the ages of 11m and 3 yrs. So I know some of the difficulties and worries in finding childcare. You are trusting someone with your most prized possesions!
Where do your children go to school?

tomwill · 31/05/2008 12:48

They are at Edge Grove in Aldenham which is why I need someone to drive (we live in St Albans)

Did you have any luck with Sophie from the netmums board? She is in Park Street, so not terribly far from Aldenham.

Im a qualified Nursery nurse and live in stevenage. BUT have 2 girls (5years and 6months) anygood for you??

tomwill · 31/05/2008 21:58

Hi nbee84, I emailed Sophie and am waiting to hear back from her - she did look good.

Hi Lisad123
Stevenage might be just a little too far - I'd be concerned that your girls would hate to be stuck in the car for such a long time. I would be happy to find a lady with her own children, especially close to my son's ages but I think it would be a stain on them???

How old are your dcs? Which days would you need help on? I may be able to help.

tomwill · 31/05/2008 23:43

Hi RadlettRebel

My boys are 5 and 8years. I need care on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Ideally some full days over the summer hols but my priority is sorting out term time care.

I'd love to talk to you about this further.

Thanks

And I should add I'd would consider just Thursdays and Fridays because I may be able to ask Grandma to help on a Wednesday
