A long time ago when mat leave wasn't what it is now - 4 months!

Mine went to nursery not a childminder but
DS1 was 10 months old
DS2 was 12 months old
DS3 was 11 months old

stichguru · 17/05/2025 14:25

9 months

DD will be 11 months (just) when she starts with her child minder.

2yrs, 2mnths.

DS loved it. He's 16 now and the childminder is still a friend.

Should probably add that was how old my son was when my mat leave ended, so it wasn't 9 months as anything to do with my son, if you see what I mean.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 17/05/2025 14:27

9 months

I'm a childminder and mostly have babies start between 8-13 months, though have had one start at 4 months.

10mths.It worked well as she was able to eat enough food to get her through without breastfeeding (she wouldn't take milk any other way!) We didn't have any issue with separation anxiety luckily.
