Returning to childminding

I am really bored and unhappy in a new job I took at the end of last year.

I used to childmind up until 2018 and then have worked in a series of different jobs, working my way up a couple of grades in the civil service.

I've always slightly missed the childminding but now I dislike this job I keep coming back to the idea of re-registering.

I'm 50 so this would be my last job until retirement.

Looking at the requirements in Wales, as I have my level 3 in childcare I wouldn't have to do the introductory course again.

What's childminding like these days? Are those of you who are doing it enjoying it? Anyone doing it with older kids - how do you manage the extra 'stuff' in your house? Last time I seamlessly transitioned through my own kids being little into childminding so already had all the clutter. I don't want to lose a room to a 'playroom' this time round.

Anyone want to talk me in or out of it?!
