She has had a rough ride. She needs to know she come here and be supported and not have to worry about people who will use RL personal details to torment her.

So, could some nanny employers please come on here and tell her why mumsnet is our spiritual home...

This is a thread for support for someone who needs it. Any posts of a less constructive purpose are not welcome on this thread.

I am a childminder so not a nanny employer, but happy to offer my support to a fellow Mumsnetter.

Sally xx

Lots of love VW xx we are here to support you - and that is what the ethos of mnet is about despite you having search a rough time in trying to do the best for your kids.

AtheneNoctua · 13/05/2008 10:07

See, we all love you. Please don't go. We will miss you.

Oh my, you shouldn't have to worry about that, for the time being, going online is somewhere you can go to get away from your RL for a moment.

It is not fair for other people to torment anyone online.

I'm not a nanny employer, but will always support a MNer

MrsRecycle · 13/05/2008 12:20

there's no need to go now VW - check out your email...some good news at last...

Blueskythinker · 13/05/2008 12:31

Please don't go - I have followed threads you have been on with concern and outrage on your behalf. I am in between nannies atm, but I consider myself a nanny employer. There are so many supportive people here, forget the few who are twats.

Squiffy · 13/05/2008 14:33

No no no. Being bullied off a site is so wrong.

Enough has been said about certain posters on the previous threads. They are the ones that should be made to go, then these sites could be left to more reasonable posters, such as VW.

Good debate needs good people and these threads are invaluable. Without decent posters from both sides how are nannies and employers to know the exact balance between acceptable/not acceptable, especially when the nanny/employer relationship involves so much more than just a job function?

helpwithnanny · 13/05/2008 16:33

Don't do VirginiaWolf, hope to see you around here sometime soon.

helpwithnanny · 13/05/2008 16:33

Don't go, should have read

WanderingTrolley · 13/05/2008 16:41

I support VirginiaWoolf!

Can we have badges made up?

oops, am not a nanny employer though

It would be a great shame not to post just because of a tiny minority of mn. Unfortunately every now and then a poster is hounded by someone from rl. Hope you are back soon VW.

nannynick · 13/05/2008 19:20

On every forum there will be some not-so-nice posters. I rarely post on a particular forum, due to trouble with a particular few posters, who seemed to gang up on me whenever they could. So I moved on to this lovely place, where the vast majority of people are friendly and supportive.

Sure we may not always agree with each other... but it would be dull if we all agreed all the time.

Stick in there VW (take it you must have changed name), most people here are friendly. If any do upset you, try to ignore them.
