My son is over 3 yrs so gets 15hr funding from CM. Im planning to go on holiday for 3 to 4 months. However I dont want to lose the space at CM and want to come back to it. Can I claim the 15hrs funding when Im gone to keep the space eventhough my child wont be going for good 3/4 months? I have delayed school hence v imp to ensure he stays with the CM

No, unfortunately your childminder won’t be able to claim if you keep your son off for a few months. A week or two holiday here and there is fine but not such a long stretch. If your childminder is audited she will be made to pay the funding back

Yes agree with PP. You'll either have to pay to hold your space or give notice.

Sadly no childcare providers can not claim the funding if a child is not attending , you will either have to give notice and hope she does not fill the space or pay her full fees for the entire duration of your holiday to keep your space .

No, you won’t be able to do that. If you’re child minder agrees you could pay to keep the space but won’t be able to have the funding.
