Recommendations of nannies/ agencies

I have a three month old son and potentially due to go back to work when he's about 6 and a half months (although seriously contemplating pushing this back by another 3 months). We haven't yet sorted out childcare, as we're looking to buy a house around north/ north west London (we currently live in East), so its a bit futile to try and register for a nursery now when we don't even know where we will be three months time. For this reason, I feel our only option now is to get a nanny when the time comes, and it's probably more suitable than nursery anyway, since he'll still be quite young.

Does anyone have any good recommendations of nannies or nanny agencies? And what has been your experience with nannies in general?

I wholeheartedly recommend Little Ones! I’ve used them twice already and they haven’t failed me (more recently just a few weeks ago). I was shopping around for other agencies to get a feel of what’s out there. I wanted to try another popular one but it didn’t work out so I stuck to what worked the 1st time. It was super simple, they literally took care of everything for us!

Arthur's House was brilliant for us in South West London. So different location but Katie runs a very bespoke service and definitely worth a chat.

Many nannies slate little ones - not the most professional imo

Daisy - silent night nannies

Tonya - Signature staff

Millsie - maternity nurse company

Katie /Nola - Eden

These 4 usually get my London based jobs

My Big Buddy also, if you’d like a Manny rather than a nanny?!

Norland Nannie’s are amazing! They all have the upmost professionalism, as they’ve done a degree in early years, as well as many placements before they can be called a Norland nanny.

I spoke to various agencies (home counties) but actually have finished up recruiting via childcare.co.uk.
slightly different situation for me but, especially going back when they are so tiny, I preferred a nanny.
