Hello,
Does anyone know how long the brownies waiting list is?
My daughter has been on the rainbows list for over a year and now moving to brownies waiting list as shes nearly 7?
Its the brownies in Goffs Oak if anyone is local?
Thanks

It depends on the area and how popular the unit is.

Brownies isn't paid childcare so you might want to move this to the Extracurricular clubs board. But in answer to your question, every group has its own waiting list depending on when the child was registered to join. Some groups will be able to start straight away - some will have a waiting list of many years. If you log into the GO girlguiding online system, there is the option to message the leader of the specific group, and they can give you a rough idea. https://go.girlguiding.org.uk/

Have you tried volunteering yourself as a parent interested in becoming a leader? Just like everything else that depends on volunteers, you can open up new places by volunteering your self. Good luck.

What about trying Beavers/Cubs? My daughter has been a Beaver since just before she turned 6 and is now a Cub and loves it!

You need to contact the individual pack- they are all different. Best not to refer to Brownies as "paid childcare" though, it won't go down well!
