9 month old bumped head twice in past two weeks at nursery, bruising left

My 9-month-old son has been attending nursery for a month, and during this time, he has hit his head twice, resulting in significant bruises each time. This has never happened at home. The first incident was explained as him falling and hitting his head on a baby gate when another child was behind him. The second time, they said he crawled after a staff member leaving the room and bumped the side of his head on a table leg. I'm really concerned about these incidents and wondering if this is normal for it to happen so frequently. He is set to start a different nursery in March due to us moving house, but I'm considering whether I should pull him out of this one sooner.

Well accidents happen and they are reasonable explanations. You have to remember their ratios are higher than at home and with more children there is risk of children hurting each other.

But twice in a month for a non walking child is quite high.

It's your call if there's nothing else concerning you. Good communication, child happy and settled, staff nice etc I would keep him in but it would be reasonable to raise your concerns

To be honest, they sound very much like accidents. Unfortunately, when children are in a group accidents are more likely to happen. The explanations sound reasonable
