Tax-free childcare and lunches

DS has been going to his childminder's since September. We pay for childcare plus an additional fee per day for lunches.

We have been paying the full amount via the tax-free childcare account.

Now we qualify for funded childcare. His hours are fully funded, but we need to continue to pay separately for the lunches. Can we continue to pay for these via the tax-free childcare account? Or do we need to pay directly from our bank account?

I'm not sure how to interpret the response to the FAQ attached.

Thanks 🙏

Yes, it is only when at school you can't use it to pay for lunches.

Yes, the compulsory education costs are referring to school.
You can use TFC to pay any childcare invoices
