just working through sample nanny contract agency have sent over.

Wondered if there’s anything others may have some helpful input on, who’ve had to do this.

can post an attachment of sample contract the agency have sent me, if anyone in the know with these things is knowledgeable enough to skim over and point out anything that seems a miss or could cause issues. Happy to compensate someone for the trouble.

Just have no idea really if I may miss something by just going with the sample contract.

this is for a live in part time mothers help level nanny candidate have found and just finalising the final stage of employment with said sending over contract

many thanks

make sure it has the clauses

  1. about keeping phone use to an absolute minimum whilst on duty.
  2. if she’s using your car, specify that she is responsible for parking tickets - they will be deducted from wages.
  3. something about guests.

Honestly most contracts via agencies are not helpful /supportive to the nanny

Take out banking hours or having the right to reduce hours

This seems to be a popular clause in some agencies

All nannies get it taken out - uou wouidnt accept a job where the boss could say find a new job for 6w while we go away /you won't get paid

I always had my own one and I was a nanny for 20yrs

Maybe things are different now - covid has a lot to answer for

Trust your nanny with guys chikdren then trust their judgment

I never had a clause about guests

Phones. Yes to a certain a extent to not always be on them

But many nannies including myself would send pics to the parents during the day

To google recipes / games /fun things

Feel free to send to me and I will give you my honest opinion if a good contact

It needs to be supportive and beneficial to both nanny and employer

Sorry I can’t help with the contract but I’m looking for a live in part-time mother’s help. Can I ask which agency you used please?
