30 free hours and gap between old and new job

I can't seem to find an answer to this online. My 3 year old is currently in nursery. We get the 30 free hours as we both work. I have been offered a new job but due to their internal processes won't be able to start for a while. I hate my current job and want to quit earlier than I can start at the new one. If I have a gap of say 3 weeks between the two jobs, do we immediately lose entitlement for the 30 hours and tax free childcare? Or is there a grace period?

There is a grace period, you can check based on your dates online x

The grace period is 3 months so it depends when your code expires. You must have a valid code not in grace period to change or start childcare

I’m sure there’s a grace period. Also I’d check for accrued holiday pay etc as often that will bump up your final paycheque. I think the minimum earnings ceiling is pretty low too.
