Grareful for any help. I earn over 100k but am about to go on maternity leave - will I be eligible for the 30 free hours whilst on maternity leave as I won’t be paid the full 100k during the 12 months?

Thanks

Having just scanned the eligibility rules it’s based on tax years. This should mean if you have 6 months full pay Sept to Feb and just SMP in March, you will reduce your taxable income. With out giving figures I can’t say if you are under the limit.

The other option is increasing pension payments.

Obviously if you don’t get full pay that will make a difference.

You should be. I was in your situation, although think I was slightly under £100k the previous year and would have earnt £100k+ had I not gone on mat leave. Its based on your actual income not your theoretical salary.
