Gift for childminder

My lo is leaving the childminder after 3 years and I really want to give a gift that'll be appreciated and wanted. I usually gift edibles and money for Xmas, but this being a goodbye I want it to be different. She's really become like family to my lo. Any ideas or tips please 🙏

My best gifts have been vouchers for things I can do with my own family. We've had restaurant vouchers, escape rooms and even a night away on a hotel which has been really lovely and thoughtful.

A card with a lovely message is always appreciated.

Only thing I wouldn't want is something with your child's photo on.... I wouldn't want that, no offence.

Thanks tulip. No offense taken. It's like a "best teacher mug" no one really wants that lol. I don't think I can really stretch to vouchers for her whole family to do something. But I'll keep that in mind.

Heartfelt thanks and message in a card is so lovely, always brings a tear to my eye and I keep them all.
A small coffee shop giftcard or similar (favourite sandwich shop/bakery maybe?) is always a lovely thought, means she can have a little treat when she needs it?
a plant if she can keep them alive, lots of children have bought me plants and I always think of the child when I water them, I do feel extra guilty if I kill them then though!
Agree no framed children please! We love them but not enough to have them in our living room in the evening😂

I was a childminder up until 15 years ago. I still have thank you cards from parents and drawings from children and I still read them sometimes. They mean more to me than any present I ever received (although flowers were always very much appreciated)

Spa treatment voucher or similar pamper session

I've had vouchers for neck and shoulder massage, gift vouchers for coffee for when the children fall asleep in the car, theater tokens I've also really loved the hand made cards from the los but mostly keeping in touch.

Thanks guys. I will definitely do a lovely card and get lo to make a card too. Will look into a nice voucher too, or maybe a plant

Plants that can be planted in the garden are always nice. I have several in my garden and they are a nice reminder of the children that I have cared for without being too in your face (like something with a child's face on as mentioned above!).

Agree about handmade/handwritten cards being wonderful keepsakes.
