I have a 11 year old and a 1 year old. I currently work on a Thursday and Saturday and Sunday, I pay for nursery for my 1 year old on the Thursday only. I only work the Thursdays during term time as my 11 year old is autistic and there is no childcare available in our area for him. The nursery my 1 year old goes to says she still has to go through the school holidays, I wouldn’t be able to afford this during the holidays as I have to drop the Thursday shift until my son returns to school. I already claim the upto 85% childcare through UC during term time. My question is would I still send my invoice to UC and proof of payment for help with it during the school holiday? Would they see this a reasonable? Trust me I’ve tried for years to get childcare for my son but there’s just none for SEN children! I told the nursery before my daughter joined that I only worked term time and they said that’s fine but now it’s come to it they’ve said she has to attend as it’s too unsettling if she was to be off for that long.

please no hate I’m not asking for freebies from them. I am not sure what I have to do that’s all

You're still paying for the childcare so you can still make the claim.

Yes you still just upload the invoice and they will pay 85% of whatever the amount is. It makes no difference if you've changed how many hours etc.
