AIBU here?? Mindee went home fine and happy Friday. Upset over the weekend and Monday/Tuesday. Refusing to eat and drink. Had a slight mark on his nose Monday. Mother got wound up and told me she's taking him to drs yesterday, then very vague about what was said, and I didn't like the tone she was speaking to me in. I sensed she was accusing me of something.

I told her mindee had to go drs today because he's clearly not happy and not eating/drinking. She booked appt with nurse, but I ended up seeing dr anyway with him. Turns out she never went to dr yesterday!!

I feel relationship with mother is ruined now and it's not going to go back to normal. What would you do??

Not sure I understand Chel, sorry.

So, she is saying it was something you did that made mindee unhappy?

She says she went to doctor but never did? Why would she do that?

You took mindee to dr today? Was mindee ok or is there something wrong (obviously don't go into details etc due to confidentiality)

Why is relationship ruined now?

Is it a question of whether you keep on minding for family?

Sorry for so many questions!

She's implying that I am making him unhappy and that I caused the mark on his nose, even though I explained that it was from his crawling. She then stated she took him to drs because she was concerned about his nose and red cheeks. When asked about what the doctor said, she would say and was very vague about the whole thing.

I then took mindee to dr today, after she made the appointment, and mentioned his appointment yesterday, and they said they hae not record of an appointment!

Mother then tried to cover up tonight by saying she just dropped in to see dr X, but she clearly mentioned the appointment time yesterday, and it was dr X I saw today!!

Sorry, posted too early!

I feel like I have to wrap mindee in cotton wool now in case his gets a mark and I get accused. I watch him all the time as it is! And I cannot trust the mother now. This isn't just a little lie in my opinion and I don't know if she's telling the truth about a number of things re: mindee.

Mindee is a lovely little thing, but I still have to deal with the mother!!
