Posts used to be on topic. Now it's a free for all.

Nobody is reading the tiny little bit of text at the top of the page.

MNHQ please rename this board back to what it was. Childcare is far too generic.

I don’t think this is caused by MN users but by MN. They need to change to name of the board to something like proffesional childcare settings.

Just to confirm, we are having an ongoing discussion about this - we're not pretending to do that. A lot comes with changing topic titles and it's not always as straight-forward as it appears, so please do bear with us.

It is clearly a very long ongoing discussion, as still no conclusion or telling us why it was changed from what it was before.

A single world is too generic. Please can we at least move off the off topic threads when they get reported. Maybe that would help a little.

To a new mum who hasn't started to consider childcare yet, 'childcare' sounds like caring for children. I agree that it's just not clear enough and Mumsnet need to rename it.

Your post on the thread about the nail polish was unnecessarily unpleasant though OP. I understand it's frustrating for you, but really?...

Paid childcare is a better title.

At least we managed to move the 2001 threads about DLA allowance.

I completely agree with you @nannynick that MN need to change the title. I still don't know why they ever changed it, especially because they asked for our opinions but still went ahead with it anyway. But I have to agree, I think your response to that mum was really mean and uncalled for. It isn't the mum's fault that MN have made the topics tricky. You took out your anger on her!
