it’s 3am and i was doing my 2 month olds feed with her pre sterilised bottle (the mam bottle that’s washed and then microwave sterilised) and mid feed, i realised there was a fleck of my nail polish inside the teat. i am mortified, i stopped feeding her- can this cause any danger at all?

Really don't think you need to worry. She'll be fine.

She'll be absolutely fine, give it a couple more months and she'll be picking random things up off the floor and putting them in her mouth

Did your childminder put the fleck there?
This is the childcare board, not general parenting.

Consider yourself "told" op
How dare you!!!

At 3am, sleep deprived, you worry about things.

Babies put all sorts of things in their mouth, especially once a bit older and more mobile.

Yeah 3am does weird things to you, as does heat and lack of sleep. Out of all the places on Mumsnet, why this one?
This board seems to get picked out by new posters for some reason... why?

Being A Parent
Parenting
Health
Infant Feeding

There are lots of places this could have been posted, but in a sleep deprived state with a newborn (as we all know how that is) you choose this board. I think if Mumsnet HQ understood why people automatically post here they would change the board title.

Welcome to Mumsnet. It's a great place once you settle in. Some of us have been around for decades, and we have all posted in 'wrong' parts before. Don't let people moaning put you off, just try to read other posts on the board before creating a new one.

No need to apologise and welcome
Don't worry, your baby will be fine.
Feel free to come back and ask for help/advice/support with anything. Most of us are quite nice
