Is finding combined physio/childcare help achievable?

Hello,

I have a child recovering from nerve damage (Guillain Barre Syndrome) who needs lots of play and movement that focuses on strengthening him and stretching his tendons. Ideally I would love to find a physio student who could help out in the afternoons or weekends. I am emailing around various universities in London but wondered if any of you mumsnetters had other ideas? Should I just find a sporty person?! Where have you found good childcare? Would love to outsource some of my constant focus on it to somebody else for a bit! Thanks for any advice.

You need a nanny - you could find a nanny who could take him to parks , swimming and a physio could show the nanny exercises to do along side the child .

My daughter went to a specialist nursery and they had physiotherapist s working there so she had daily physio while she was there and also had weekly hydrotherapy, and all the nursery activities were tailored to helping the children with their physical needs. It was great for her, she learned to walk while she was there and the support was amazing. No idea where you are based, but if it's south east London pm me and I'll give you details of the nursery
