2yr old gets 15 funded hours - do I need to re-apply for 30hrs?

My two year old receives 15 funded hours under the new funding scheme. She will be 3 in June and I understand we’ll be entitled to 30 funded hours. Do I need to apply again or will I get a code automatically? I can’t find a clear answer anywhere. TIA x

Not sure about reapplying but just checking you're aware that 30 hour funding doesn't kick in until the term after they've turned 3 (e.g. September) - so you don't get a nasty shock!

Next time you confirm your details you'll be able to change it. It will be from September though

Thanks both, I’d clocked that it won’t apply until September (sadly!)
I’ll make sure it’s updated next time I reconfirm, thanks!

Just reconfirm when you next need to and it will then allow the nursery to claim 30 hours from September.
It will be the same code.

Do you have to change something or will it automatically know you want 30 hours not 15 just based on them knowing your child’s age? I’ve just done my usual reconfirming every 3 months but there was nothing about changing hours?

You don't need to do anything. The same code will entitle your child to 30 hours when their 3 year old fixing begins.
It will then allow your provider to claim up to 30 hours.
